It's essential when working with a realtor to have confidence in who they are and to know that they share your values. So here's a little about me so you know who you'll be working with.
I was born and raised in Vancouver and attended UBC, before completing my studies in England and in the U.S. I've been fortunate to have travelled in Europe, Africa, Australia and the Middle East, and I speak French, Italian and Spanish (although a little brush up wouldn't hurt!). Before entering real estate I authored a book and was a professor at UBC, SFU and UVic, as well as in the United States. I love the outdoors and enjoy runs with my partner Paul, and dog, Roxie, as well as tennis, cycling, swimming and most music.
My business is founded on experience, knowledge and trust. I am fortunate to enjoy super relationships with my clients and most of my business comes from referrals. Real estate is serious business, but one of my goals is to make it enjoyable for everyone involved. I work collaboratively with people, providing them knowledge to help them make informed decisions, and listening to what they have to say, so that I can ensure that we're working towards a common goal.
I am a recipient of the Platinum Award for business achievement and feel very fortunate both personally and professionally. I volunteer at local community centres through seminars and special events, and I support a number of charities, including the Fire Fighters Burn Fund, the Canadian Red Cross, Covenant House and the SPCA.
As well as working with people to help them buy and sell their homes, I counsel clients who are interested in investing in residential real estate as a part-time or full-time business. I also offer free seminars on buying, selling, investing and downsizing at three west side community centres (below).
